225-Kilometer Ötztaler Bike Marathon! Join the Epic Stubai Alps Circumnavigation

Are you up for a bike marathon? Make sure the 2-wheel ride works perfectly, warm up on a light ride the day before, prepare your water and food, and join Mountain Moments on a 225-kilometer circumnavigation in the Stubai Alps -also known as Ötztal Bike Marathon. The classic route leads via Innsbruck – Kühtai – Timmelsjoch – Jaufen – Brenner and back to Innsbruck, so prepare to cycle on all cylinders. Here you can find a route map and various useful tips and tricks.

Since the premiere in 1982 there is the Ötztaler bicycle marathon as a cycling event – sometimes also briefly “Ötzi” called or geographically more correctly: Stubai Alps circumnavigation. The routes and destinations since then varied, but the rough dates, tears, and in any case sweat and pain remain similar.

238 kilometers and 5500 meters of altitude are written since the 1990s on the finisher jerseys of those who have made the event before the time limit.

If the route is too much for the first time, it can also be divided into several daily stages and optionally organized with luggage transport.
